  A Message from the CEO
Welcome to the second edition of the MIND360 Newsletter

You may have seen the news this week, that MIND360 has officially come out of beta and made a full launch. After 6 months working with our early members we've listened, learned and implement many of your suggestions. The site is now ready for the brains of the world to enjoy.

To coincide with the launch we've also announced our Care to Share program. MIND360 will contribute up to $100,000 to a charitable cause promoting personal development and enable people to reach their highest potential in the field of their dreams. Visit our site to vote on which charity you think we should support.

We hope you are enjoying the website and are already feeling the benefits of the program.

Best regards
Danny Aboody
CEO, MIND360.com

Fish's Last Wish & Face it

Fish's Last Wish

Fish's Last Wish! The aim of the game is to catch the correct fish matching certain visual rules. Every fish has a pattern. A fish is correct if it’s caught with the same pattern as the pattern on the boat   Face It! Strengthens your Association Memory by training you to better remember familiar faces and recall their matching names using various mnemonic methods.

Mental Rotation
In a mental rotation test, the subject is asked to compare two patterns and state if they are the same image or if they are mirror images. Mental rotation is somewhat localized to the right cerebral hemisphere. It is thought to take place largely in the same areas as perception. It is associated with the rate of spatial processing and intelligence. Roger Shepard and Jacqueline Metzler (1971) originally discovered this phenomenon. Their research showed that the reaction time for participants to decide if the pair of patterns matched or not was linearly proportional to the angle of rotation from the original position. That is, the more an object has been rotated from the original, the longer it takes an individual to determine if the two patterns are of the same object or enantiomorphs.

  Visual Perception Training
Because no two people share the same visual perception strengths or weaknesses, effective training requires methods tailored to each person’s individual needs. Successful training requires focusing on particular characteristics associated with visual perception, including:

Spatial Relation, Visual Discrimination, Visual Closure

  Letter from a Member

If you're like me, a professional working mom, then you likely share some of my frustrations and elations in the challenges of splitting your time and energy between home and work. When I returned to work after a 7 year hiatus of bringing 3 children into the world as a full time mom.

It was then that I chanced upon Mind360.com who have developed a range of scientifically proven online games that directly work to improve executive brain function, decision making and all round brain training needs.

Using the structured memory training programs I was able to steer myself through the process of improving my cognitive skills so that within weeks I was thinking quicker, focusing longer and generally dealing with the challenges of home and work life in an organized and relaxed manner.
