Frederick Winslow Taylor was one of the intellectual leaders of the Efficiency Movement and his ideas, broadly conceived, were and still are highly influential in the modern era. In short, F.W. Taylor proposed that the traditional management of his day was outdated and that the model of business management should be formulated as an academic discipline meaning the best results would come from an effective and developed partnership between a trained and qualified management and a cooperative and innovative workforce. Effectively, each side needed the other, once this concept could be interanalized inside an organization then harmony a profits would flow.
