Spatial Memory

Spatial Memory is the part of your memory responsible for recording data concerning your surroundings and spatial orientation. It plays a critical role in your capacity to function within a specific environment. Spatial memory relates to the way your brain stores data regarding the location of physical objects in space, like the environment around you, and is essential for human beings and many other species' survival, especially regarding animal migration. Your spatial memory is required, for example, in order to navigate from one location to another, similar to how a mouse’s spatial memory is required to find its way through a maze. Your spatial memory is formed by collecting and processing visual and other stimuli related to your surroundings.
