Intelligence
Intelligence, measured by valid IQ tests, is not just being ‘book smart’. Intelligence is the ability to grasp situations and act efficiently and effectively in a purposeful way. Wechsler defined intelligence as: “the global capacity of the individual to act purposefully, to think rationally and to deal effectively with his environment”.
Kurtzweil defined intelligence as “the ability to optimally use limited resources – including time – to achieve goals.”
