Eye-Hand Coordination
Eye-Hand coordination (or hand-eye coordination) is the ability of a person’s visual system to coordinate data received through their eyes and in turn direct their attention and hands towards executing a given task, such as catching a ball. Without this ability, due to impaired vision for example, it would be difficult and even impossible to perform every day tasks without proper treatment. Increasingly more cognitive training methods are becoming available to help improve people’s hand-eye coordination. Until recently, most of the focus has been directed at young children. However more adults are seeking ways to improve and maintain their hand-eye coordination and other cognitive abilities.
