Cognitive Reserve Hypothesis


Also known as Brain Reserve, Cognitive Reserve is a theory based on the belief that it is possible to develop a cognitive reserve in order to combat the onset of mental degeneration due to aging and/or disease. Popular methods include regular mental stimulation (brain training exercises), individual monitoring and education.
